A Gazette paperboy has been praised for his actions after he came to a reader's rescue.
Luke Allston, of Meadow Grass Close, Stanway, was hailed a hero by Joan Taylor, for helping her after a serious fall.
The 81-year-old of Darnel Way, Stanway, was returning from a shopping trip and was collecting her recycling bin when she lost her balance and fell on her arm.
Unable to move, the disabled grandmother, who relies on a mobility scooter, lay sprawled on the floor for 20 minutes until the teenager arrived on his bike to deliver the Colchester Gazette.
