A VETERAN is calling for residents to give generously and help support Colchester-based troops serving in Afghanistan.
Russell Dicks, of the Malaya and Borneo Veterans' Association, is collecting packages of books, magazines, games, toiletries, sweets and more.
Mr Dicks, of Chapel Lane, Great Bromley, has already received generous donations from staff at stores including Woolworths, Boots, Waterstone's, The Book Service and Debenhams.
