FOOTBALL fans have been told to get on the buses to go to matches at Colchester's new community stadium.
There may even be coaches laid on for U's fans from the coast.
Colchester United have unveiled details of a shuttle bus scheme for fans, drawn up with Colchester United Supporters' Association and bus operator First, with supporters able to get to the ground from anywhere in Colchester for £1.
Supporters will have to get to Bruff Close, in Mile End, Colchester, on match days to pick up one of a flotilla of 15 buses ferrying fans to and from the stadium, with the capacity to carry more than 4,000 people each way.
The buses will be free to people who have bought match tickets in advance, who will also be able to buy a £1 Rover ticket to cover travel on First services in Colchester.
The shuttle buses will be intended to transport both home fans, who have converged on Bruff Close from across the town, and away fans arriving at Colchester North station.
The 15 shuttle buses will carry 900 people on each circuit, and make up to five return trips in each direction. They will run for set times before and after a match.
Colchester United and the supporters' association are looking at organising coaches for fans coming to games from Clacton, Braintree and villages.
