A BROKEN mum whose teenage son tragically died after battling cancer has said she “cannot take anymore” after being relentlessly targeted by online trolls.

Tanya Boyd, 41, has been using social media to keep the memory of her son Harrison alive since his death in October 2021 at the age of just 13-years-old.

Prior to his death the inspiring schoolboy, who endured an eight-month fight with NUT carcinoma cancer had used TikTok to document his journey.

Regularly posting videos to raise awareness of what it was like to fight cancer, Harrison set out to encourage other children with rare illnesses.

Since then Tanya has used the Harrison’s Army platform – which has amassed a huge following around the globe – to post videos in honour of her son.

Cruelly, the mum now says she is regularly experiencing the dark side of social media, with some users making disturbing comments about her and Harrison’s death.

Tanya now believes the abuse is being posted by two main culprits hiding behind multiple accounts.

She said: “I have been horrendously trolled and this is the last straw now because I just cannot take anymore - I have read the sickest things I have ever read in my life.

“Not only do I have to deal with not having my child here anymore I am having to deal with this abuse.

“This has been going on since January and every time I go live on TikTok there are five, six, seven accounts giving me abuse. I have tracked one woman down to Wales.”

Tanya has now called on moderators at TikTok to do more to silence the trolls targeting her account and also asked for the public’s help.

She added: “I am not the first or the last person they are going to do this to, so we need to get TikTok’s attention with this.

“I don’t often ask for help but I am asking for help. I cannot do this anymore so if someone can help me then please help me.

“TikTok I need your help. This has to be stopped.”

TikTok has been contacted for comment.
