A POPULAR popular patch provided a breath of fresh scare to guests as it has returned for 2022.

Foxes Farm in Aldham is once again inviting customers to come and enjoy some spooktacular fun at their pumpkin patch.

Owned by husband and wife duo Guy and Emily French, the patch has continued to grow since it opened nearly a decade ago.

Emily said: “We were both from farming families, so wanted to diversify our farm so we could have a job in the industry, and pumpkins were becoming popular for Halloween, so we decided to do that.

“From there its grown and now we sell local wholesale pumpkins to shops and garden centre and in 2015 we opened the farm for the first year to pick their own, which has been successful ever since.”

Now, the pair operate the biggest pumpkin patches in Essex, in Aldham and Basildon.

The fun continued this year as the patch has welcomed guests to once again pick their pumpkins.

This year, the patch also introduced a new twilight pumpkin picking event, which sees guests enjoy a bar, music and torchlit pumpkin picking event and was held for the first time last weekend.

“Our first Twilight Pumpkin Picking event was a huge success.
