Fifteen people have appeared in court charged with drug-dealing.
Eleven men and four women, aged 17 to 44, appeared before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court yesterday after police swooped on 18 Colchester homes.
Between them, they face 85 charges of supplying or intending to supply heroin or crack cocaine.
Twelve people were remanded in custody and will appear at magistrates courts in Witham or Harwich within the next month.
Two defendants admitted charges: Maria Fella, of Fairfax Road, and a 17-year-old Colchester boy. Fella admitted supplying an undercover police officer with 275mg of drugs, of which 60 per cent was found to be heroin.
District judge, David Cooper, refused to grant her bail and sent her case to Chelmsford Crown Court for sentencing.
Twenty three people were arrested in the raids on Wednesday which centred on the Military Road and Greenstead areas.
