Vehicles will remain banned on a stretch of promenade due to safety fears.
Tendring Council shut off a length of the lower prom at Holland-on-Sea last year, after serious erosion threatened the stability of the sea wall.
With no improvements since then, the stretch from Hazelmere Road to the Esplanade will remain off limits to vehicles until further notice.
Last November, technical services portfolio holder Harry Shearing said that £24 million was needed from central Government to bolster the sea defences.
With the council still lobbying for funding, it will continue to carry out emergency repairs in the meantime.
Mr Shearing said extending the ban was unfortunate, but stressed that safety had to come first.
