Scientists and engineers of the future could hail from Clacton's Cann Hall Primary School.
Nine to 11-year-olds at the Constable Avenue school were treated to a theatre performance to promote careers in technology.
Crag Rats performed plays and held interactive workshops as part of a 20-school, two-week tour of the county.
The year five and six pupils experienced a magic-themed show which explained how engineering affects every day life by showing how a suspension bridge works.
The touring troupe will visit St Andrew's School in Weeley on Thursday.
