Children took part in a wood craft family festival.
The pupils at Holland Haven Primary School, in Holland-on-Sea, created musical instruments, bird tables and box cameras at Saturday's event.
They also planted nine apple trees for a new orchard at the school.
The activities were part of a project carried out in collaboration with Creative Partnerships Tendring (CPT) and East Feast.
