IT was a dream come true for Daniel Davies.
The 17-year-old Shorefields School pupil, who suffers from cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, has ambitions to be a radio DJ.
And he got to see an expert in action when he was whisked away to Radio 1 to meet drivetime presenter Scott Mills.
Daniel, of Puffinsdale, Great Clacton, accompanied by dad John, mum Loraine and sister Kimberley, visited the London studios, thanks to the Willow Foundation's specials days scheme.
He spent an hour with Mr Mills before Tuesday's show and then saw the popular presenter and his team - Chappers, Laura and The One Who Doesn't Speak - in action.
He returned from the London studios with bags full of memorabilia - T-shirts, CDs and signed photographs.
Shorefields headteacher Jo Hodges put Daniel's name forward for the special day.
"Everyone was really pleased for him because he is such a popular guy," said dad John.
