Beach hut owners are preparing for battle.
The Clacton and Holland Beach Hut Association is to hold a protest outside their prized properties.
They are unhappy about the "dreadful" state of sea defences and of the beach, despite rising charges.
An annual parking ticket has gone up from £5 to £20 and members who live outside Tendring are no longer entitled to concessionary car parking at Holland Haven car park.
Owners say it is unfair because non-residents already pay an additional 45 per cent of their site rent fee as a contribution to services provided by Tendring Council.
The association says the day of action will show Tendring Council and the Government, which postponed a £24 million sea defence scheme in Tendring three years ago, they are not prepared to wait any longer for investment.
Norman Jacobs, chairman, said: "The protest is to highlight the dreadful state of the beaches and sea defences in Holland-on-Sea, and the fact money promised by Defra to deal with the problem keeps getting postponed."
The protest is on Saturday at 2pm at beach section D, below York Road, Holland-on-Sea.
