RESIDENTS and shoppers were in awe this afternoon as a 'mini tornado' formed.
A spiral of dust was seen forming near Tollgate at lunchtime.
There has also been reports of a similar 'tornado' in Abbey Fields yesterday.
Cheryl Richardson caught the phenomenon on camera today.
Most tornadoes form from thunderstorms.
They need warm, moist air and cool, dry air. When these two air masses meet, they create instability in the atmosphere.
