A top dog has been stolen from a dog show.
Owner Claire Lawrence was shocked and upset when she realised her lurcher, Diesel, had been taken.
Miss Lawrence said: "I'm absolutely devastated. I chose him at two days old. It's like losing a child really, it's awful."
Miss Lawrence was standing next to her car at Hunt Kennels, Earls Colne, when Diesel, who was tied to the tow-bar, was stolen on Sunday at 3.20pm.
Since the dog-nap at the terrier and lurcher show, Miss Lawrence, of Norfolk, has been putting up hundreds of posters around towns in north Essex appealing for his safe return.
Diesel is a two-year-old male, he has a black/grey rough coat, white patch on his chest and belly, the toes on his right front leg are also white, he stands about 24 inches to the shoulder and is micro-chipped.
Police officers believe Diesel may have been sighted in Kent.
