Budding footballers were put through their paces under the watchful eye of a Colchester United legend.
Dozens of young players gathered in Brightlingsea for Micky Cook's summer soccer school.
The U's record appearance-maker was joined by coaches Adrian Webster, Dominic Maine and Ryan Salter for the event at the Colne Community School, where he is a PE teacher.
The youngsters practised their passing in the summer sunshine - and showed off their ball control by dribbling round stakes in the ground.
