A bus shelter, which was built following a community campaign, has been destroyed for a second time after a crash.
Dave McLeod, mayor of Harwich, discovered the bus shelter, along the long stretch of Ramsey Road between Ramsey and Upper Dovercourt, had been demolished following a vehicle collision over the weekend.
Mr McLeod, who was a bus driver himself for more than 24 years, said the shelter was used by many elderly residents in the area.
Now he is urging to have the shelter replaced, particularly after the recent wet weather.
He said he had now phoned Adshel, the bus shelter company, asking for a new one and was hopeful they would respond to his plea quickly.
