CROWDS came together to celebrate all things retro at Colchester’s ever-popular Secret Vintage Fair.

The annual event, which was held at the old police station in Queen Street, Colchester, included an impressive range of vintage clothing, accessories, homeware and gifts.

The location for the event is kept a secret until a couple of weeks before the big weekend.

Organisers said they had an amazing time, with money being raised for Autism Anglia throughout the whole year.

Janine Tompkins, who helped organise the event, said: “It was really good, there was a really buzzy atmosphere and it really did live up to expectations.

“There were so many people who came through the doors across the weekend.”

Some of the stall holders included Fitzygogo, Easy Tiger Vintage, Hidden in the Rafters and Monkey Stuff, among others.

There was also entertainment from Abba tribute act Voulez Vous, and guests said the likeness was uncanny.

The Nightingales, a Forties trio, also sang songs for visitors as they shopped for bargains and enjoyed the festive atmosphere.

Next year, one of the local charities being supported will be Emmaus Colchester.
