TRAFFIC was held up at a popular supermarket after a crash in the car park.
A motorist tipped their car on the way out of the Tesco store in the Hythe, just after 11am.
Staff cordoned off the area while arrangements were put in place for the car to be moved.
The store was even busier than usual with shoppers looking for Black Friday deals.
Emergency services attended the scene.
A spokesman for Tesco said: "Following a car accident in our car park at Colchester Superstore earlier today, everyone at the store sends their best wishes to the customer and passengers and would like to thank the emergency services who attended the store.
"We’re working hard to help customers use the car park whilst we wait for the vehicle to be moved."
