Colchester residents were woken in the middle of the night by a low-flying helicopter.
The police helicopter was scrambled at about 1am on Sunday morning, after reports that a group of youths had kicked in a front door in Arnold Drive, Greenstead.
A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both from Colchester, have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and released on police bail until August 21.
