Villagers have had the latest say over proposals to build a Tesco supermarket.

Dozens of residents flocked to the Venture Centre, Lawford, on Friday and Saturday for the second chance to see what the retail giant's plans are for Station Road, Manningtree.

Last weekend, the first exhibition was held at the Methodist Church, Manningtree, receiving mixed reviews about effects on local trade.

Traffic concerns were raised at Friday's exhibition.

Mike Ince, transport planner from consultant engineers Boreham, was also on hand to explain traffic plans.

He said: "We are in the early stages at the moment, we have had surveys done and we are looking at the nearby level crossing and the number of times it closes."

He said a traffic review would be carried out to go alongside the planning application that is due to be finalised over the next two to three months.
