Legal proceedings that were threatened against a hospital firm may be avoided.
Health bosses threatened legal action against Realise Health, the firm that built The Fryatt Hospital and Mayflower Medical Centre, Dovercourt, after declaring it was "unfit for purpose".
Both are due to open in September.
Dr Paul Zollinger-Read, chief executive of North East Essex Primary Care Trust (PCT), told residents in May that the organisation was contemplating the action.
They called on Gleeson Building and contractors Realise Health to put remaining problems right.
Dr Zollinger-Read has now confirmed issues were being resolved.
He said: "We made very good progress with Realise Health and we have a series of meetings from the end of this month and throughout August.
"It is impossible to determine the outcome, all I can say is we are very pleased with the progress.
"By mid-September we hope to resolve the issues between us, which may mean a constructive way forward."
