Pre-school children got an important lesson in the emergency services.
A 999 day at Weeley Rainbow Pre-School taught the two to four-year-olds how to call police, fire, ambulance and coastguards.
A fire engine from Weeley fire station, a Green Goddess fire engine and a police car visited the village hall pre-school to give the youngsters a hands-on lesson.
Cheryl Hayhoe, pre-school chairman, said: "We told the children what different services you can call using 999 and exactly what happens when you call. They had a lot of fun.
"You sometimes hear stories of very young children doing the right thing in an emergency, so it is good to get the message across so early."
