A ground-breaking collaboration between Essex and Kent police has reached its first milestone.
Both forces have now set up a joint committee overseeing their partnership work.
Top brass on both sides are due to formally launch the trailblazing panel at a special press conference next month.
Chief Constables Roger Baker and Michael Fuller will be joined by police authority chairmen Robert Chambers and Ann Barnes to discuss the unique partnership, its aims and aspirations.
The Joint Collaborative Committee will oversee partnership work between the two forces.
They have already brokered successful deals as well as being given further Government funding to drive the programme forward.
