A WOMAN has been charged following an attempted murder.

Detectives had issued an appeal to trace Kelly Gentry, 46, after a 68-year-old man was stabbed at an address in Wellesley Road, Clacton.

The victim suffered stomach and neck injuries during the incident, which happened just after midnight on June 24.

A spokesman for Essex Police said Gentry has now been charged with attempted murder.

Gentry, who is unemployed and of no fixed address, was arrested on Saturday.

She is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
