DETECTIVES investigating the rape of a teenage girl have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to.

A 17-year-old girl reported that she was raped inside a property off Godmans Lane, Marks Tey, by a man, at around 4.30pm on Monday.

Since then extensive enquiries have been conducted in and around the area.

The victim has been supported by specially trained officers while visible patrols in the area have been increased to reassure the public.

Now experts have drawn up an image of the man they want to speak to.

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Smith, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “The victim in this case was subjected to a terrifying ordeal.

“It is important we find the person responsible and bring him to justice.

“I would urge the public to study this e-fit image and call us if they remember seeing anyone matching the description in the area at the time of the attack.”

The suspect is described as white with pale skin, around 5ft 8in tall, aged in his mid to late 20s, and of medium build with blond hair.

He wore a grey t-shirt with one green stripe on the bottom of each sleeve, dark blue jeans and had a tribal tattoo on his right upper arm.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Stanway Major Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
