A MAN was trapped in a car for almost an hour after a smash in Weeley last night.
The incident involved a car and a motorbike, and happened on the A133 Colchester Road just before 8pm.
Police said the road had to be closed at the McDonald's roundabout and Essex Air Ambulance and East Anglian Air Ambulance crews were called out to assist.
Fire crews from Weeley and Colchester were called to the scene.
Firefighters reported that one male was trapped but they managed to release him by 8.50pm.
Two casualties were left in the care of the ambulance service.
