THE sky is the limit for three daredevil security workers from Fenwick in Colchester.

Good friends and work colleagues Alex Northcott, 27, Tim Stannard, 32, and Jamie Wiles, 28, will all be throwing themselves out of a plane at Beccles Airfield in June to raise money for St Helena Hospice.

The team are also taking part in what will be an attempt for the Guinness World Record attempt for the most tandem skydives undertaken in 24 hours.

Jamie, of London Road, Marks Tey, said: “Since I started at Fenwick at the beginning of November I have wanted to arrange some form of fundraiser.

“I found out Fenwick is close to the Hospice and they fundraise for them every year.

“It is a really nice working environment here, everyone is very genuine and friendly and it is a really nice place to work which makes the days go quickly.

“The three of us are quite good friends. I went to school with Alex and Tim I know from training at a previous gym back in the day.

“We spoke about ideas and we were originally just going to do it just us three but we wanted it to be dramatic so we came across the event which the charity is holding.

“We thought we would give it a go as it makes it that little bit more exciting.”

The trio need to raise at least £1,200, however Jamie is aiming for a far more ambitious target.

He said: “In 2016 Fenwick Colchester raised over £29,000 for St Helena Hospice and the company is looking to smash that figure this year.

“I want to take an impressive chunk out of the charity fund target and get as much as we possibly can.

“I am absolutely terrified and Tim is the same.

“I have been on rollercoasters before and been so scared I had to cover my eyes. I am going to try my hardest to enjoy it.

“It is a bit daunting for me but the thing that is bringing me through it is that is it going to put a smile on other people’s faces.”
