A COUPLE have revealed ambitious plans to revamp one of Colchester's best known family attractions.

Frankie and Daisy Bailey have bought Go Bananas soft play centre which has been based in Mason Road for more than 20 years.

Under the takeover, the couple from Clacton hope to use their experience of being parents to inject changes.

Daisy, 28, said: "It needs a bit of TLC and that's what we have to give it. Frankie and I are here every day and you will always see us walking around."

The couple are the business directors and parents to Rose, 16 months.

She's inspired them to create more facilities for under fives.

New features will include improving the existing under-fives' soft play area to make it more baby friendly and the introduction of baby sensory classes.

Daisy said: "It all needs an update so that's something we are really looking to do and we are also looking at creating more seating upstairs with a coffee machine."

Healthier food choices will also be introduced to the menu.

A frame for over-fives will be updated and plans are afoot to host special Easter activities.

While Daisy was reluctant to reveal the investment cost, she said: "Frankie and I won't be taking home a salary. It is our goal to make changes every month. We'll work for free for a year - we have got to spend money to make money."

All 31 staff who worked for the previous owner, who was there for 13 years, have kept their jobs.
