IT is set to be a rocking afternoon when the Ye Olde Albion Music Day returns this April.

East Anglia's best and most alternative musicians will head to the Rowhedge High Street pub for an exciting programme on Sunday, April 30.

Between 12pm and 7.30pm the free event features acts such as Surge, Fishclaw, singer songwriter Bessie Turner, Polly Haynes and Rowhedge's own Pete Turner.

The one-day festival is being organised by Vince Petchey - Geoff Lawrence, Stuart Hill, Johnny Rhys-Lewis, Katherine Courtauld and Baz Williamson - who grace the stage at 4.15pm.

Colchester's James Sarek will compere the event.
