HUNDREDS of pounds were raised for a veterans’ charity thanks to a special concert at St Nicholas’ Church in Harwich.
The Tendring Male Voice Choir was joined by the Coastal Singers for the event, which was in aid of the Not Forgotten Association.
Organiser Anna Rendell-Knights said more than £600 was raised for the charity, which provides entertainment and recreation for the serving wounded, injured or sick and for veterans who suffer from a disability or illness.
Mrs Rendell-Knights said: “The concert was very good and was very well received.
“There was a lovely military part at the end – there was not a dry eye in the house.
“There was also some beautiful singing, including from the Coastal Singers.
“It was a marvellous concert and afterwards we handed over the cheque to the charity.”
