PARTY in the Park promises to being two top nights of music before being rounded off with a fireworks display.
It kicks off tonight with the New Town Kings headlining and a bill that will also include sets from the likes of the Occupants, Soul'd Out, Colchester singer/songwriter Adam Ferretti, and X Factor finalist Sam Callahan.
The event will also boast lots of food and drink, including a special beer and Pimms tents, champagne and prosecco bars and hospitality marquees, All profits will go to charity.
The NSPCC is hosting musical statues at 5pm on Saturday and the Party in the Park organisers will give every £1 for every person taking part to the charity.

KENNETH Grahame's wonderfully wistful story given the Mercury Theatre summer show treatment with plenty of fun, laughs and original music.
Directed by Matt Culham who was responsible for last year's smash hit James and the Giant Peach there will be plenty for both young and old to marvel in.

A GREAT way to find out more about the dramatic events that have taken place in Colchester. The tour takes you through Castle Park, the Dutch Quarter and the High Street - only minutes away from each other, but each with a very different story to tell.
