Road set to be closed until tomorrow evening due to burst water main
A ROAD is due to be shut until tomorrow evening after a water main burst.
A section of Ipswich Road in Colchester, leading to East Street, was closed off last night so Anglian Water could carry out emergency repairs which are expected to carry on until 5pm tomorrow.
One lane of St Andrews Avenue leading to the double roundabout will also be closed until then.
A statement on the Anglian Water website says: "Due to the location of the leak, a road closure is required whilst the repair takes place.
"We are working with Network Rail to ensure the work is completed as quickly and safely as possible.
"We are sorry for any disruption that this may cause."
