POLICE want to speak to these men after an 84-year-old was the victim of a distraction theft.
The victim was paying for items using a bank card at Waitrose in St Andrew’s Road, Colchester, when a man distracted him by suggesting he had dropped a £5 note on the floor.
While the victim picked up the note, one of the suspects took his bank card from the chip and PIN machine without his knowledge.
He was later approached by one of the suspects who said the actual owner of the money had been identified.
The incident was at 11am on Tuesday December 29 and a four-figure sum was later spent on the victim’s bank card at shops in Colchester, Ipswich and Lakeside.
Police have just issued details and want to speak to the men pictured.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Craig Scott at Colchester on 101.
