A BIKER was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a smash in St Osyth.
The late-night crash happened between a motorbike and a car on Colchester Road last night.
It happened at about 10.25pm.
The biker, aged 32 from Clacton, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for treatment.
His condition is still described as serious.
The man was riding a silver Honda motorbike towards Clacton when he was involved in the crash with a blue Vauxhall Zafira travelling in the opposite direction.
A 45-year-old woman and her 12-year-old son from Brightlingsea were in the car. They suffered slight injuries in the collision.
The road was closed until 3.30am while police launched an investigation at the scene and the damaged vehicles and debris were removed from the road.
Any witnesses who have not spoken to police should contact the Stanway Road Policing Unit on 101.
