Two Frinton men are preparing for a 4,000-mile coastal motorbike ride for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Dominic Geldard and Ed Rowley, both 27, will sleep in tents overnight and bike about 400 miles a day. The pair hope to raise £5,000.

They will start in London on July 1, travelling clockwise around the country, stopping overnight in Frinton on July 14 before setting off on the final leg of their epic journey, finishing in London's Trafalgar Square.

Mr Geldard said: "I really can't remember which one first suggested it, but we were talking one night about the great work Macmillan does and how we could help in some way.

"Macmillan is an organisation that has great personal significance to us both and one which does a huge amount to help people with cancer and their families.

"The next thing we knew, we'd agreed to ride around the coast of Britain."
