It's official - if you want a nice beach to build sandcastles on, go for a paddle or take a stroll, come to Tendring.
Three beaches on the Tendring coastline have scooped Quality Coast Awards and been hailed as ideal places for sandcastles and paddling.
The winning beaches are the west beach and Martello Bay beach in Clacton, Frinton beach and the Albion beach at Walton.
Harwich beach and the Naze at Walton were named as a nice places for a seaside stroll and also picked up Quality Coast Awards.
The winning beaches were just six of the 73 across the country to be given the thumbs-up in a number of different categories.
It is the first time the Quality Coast Awards have been held.
