A woman who was left fighting for her life after a motorbike crash is said to be making her recovery.
The 26-year-old, of Colchester, was travelling on her scooter on the Weeley bypass between Colchester and Clacton when she was involved in a collision with a lorry on Friday.
She was taken to Colchester General Hospital for treatment and later transferred to Queen's Hospital, in Romford, where her progress is said to be good.
The road was closed for four hours after the accident, which happened at about 3pm.
Police still want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
