GATES were removed from a home and a window smashed to allow burglars to remove dozens of tiles from a home in Colchester.
Police officers were called to a property on Mersea Road following a raid between 4pm on Friday, May 22 and 7am on Monday, May 25.
A large quantity of three inch square limestone effect tiles were stolen.
Det Con Tim Harris said: "It is likely a number of offenders with a van or large vehicle would have been involved in this burglary and I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious or who have seen a large number of tiles being unloaded to get in touch."
Anyone with information call Det Con Tim Harris at Colchester CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
