RAIL operator Greater Anglia has put forward an extra £15,000 for its team of volunteer station adopters who help care for stations.
The funding will help pay for plants and flowers, tools and materials for station gardens and individual projects that will improve the station environment.
The Adopt a Station scheme, which started in 2003, enables individuals or groups to adopt their local station and contribute to its presentation and welfare for the benefit of the community.
Abellio Greater Anglia now has more than 83 adopters at 90-plus stations. To get involved, e-mail rebecca.richardson@greater anglia.co.uk
