Residents dusted off their family treasures to be valued by experts from a television series.
Michael Bowles and Marc Winter, expert valuers for the BBC's Flog It programme, spent a morning looking through the vast collection of antiques brought to them by residents.
The two men, who work at Reeman Dansie auctioneers, valuers and estate agency based in Colchester, were invited to the antiques valuation event by the St Andrew's Church social committee, in Halstead.
About 80 visitors took their treasures along to the St Andrews Church hall, in Parsonage Street, before enjoying homemade food cooked by the committee.
The antiques included Staffordshire pottery, a doorstop from the 1800s worth more than £200, and a 100-year-old wooden children's highchair.
