An investigation is being launched into a fire in a bungalow.
Firefighters were called to CF Anderson Timber Products, on Old London Road, Marks Tey, to snuff out the blaze in the derelict property on Friday.
It is not known how badly damaged the building was, but it was heavily smokelogged.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the scene at around 7.30am to attend the bungalow which measured around 20m by 10m.
"It was highly smoke-logged and our crews needed breathing apparatus to tackle the fire."
No one at CF Anderson was available to comment.
