CYCLISTS in Colchester can have safety checks on their bikes thanks to a new partnership.
Colchester Leisure World, in Cowdray Avenue, has teamed up with charity the Cyclists’ Touring Club to offer checks on April 2 and April 9.
Andy Woolf, of ATW Cycles, will be on hand to carry out mini MOTs.
Family bike rides will also be setting off from the skate ramps at 11am on April 1, 4 and 8.
Richard Monk, of the Cyclists’ Touring Club, said: “I’m delighted Andy will be providing all his experience to help get bikes in trim for the summer.
“We want to help lots more people discover the pleasure of cycling around our town.”
Annie Feltham, councillor responsible for leisure, said: “We are pleased to support great initiatives like this to help people try greener and healthier ways of getting about.”
