COLCHESTER United’ s work to build a fan base for the future has been recognised as the club were shortlisted for the Football League Family Club of the Year award.
The U’s are one of six clubs in the running to pick up the award on April 19, a day after their crunch game against Scunthorpe United.
They are joined by Brighton & Hove Albion, Middlesbrough, MK Dons, Plymouth Argyle and Stevenage .
U’s media manager Matt Hudson said: “We are so pleased to be shortlisted for this prestigious award.
