A DARING bid to raise cash for a new cancer centre suffered a setback due to the weather.
Five brave women were due to do a skydive on Mother’s Day to raise money for the new centre at Colchester General Hospital.
However, the weather was too bad for the challenge and it has been postponed.
The women are all due to have another go later in the year and it is hoped they will raise more than £1,000.
! Men can also test their nerve by taking part in a Father’s Day skydive on June 21. Money raised will go towards the £4.5million target for a centre to bring all medical and complementary cancer services together.
