STREET traders have handed in a 7,000 signature strong petition protesting at plans to move them into the High Street market and increase their rents.
The stallholders, who are based in Colchester’s Culver Street West, have been told they are being moved and will have to pay four times the rent at a new spot.
They claim they’ve had no say in the decision process.
This evening they handing in their petition to Colchester Council ahead of this evening’s Cabinet meeting.
