AN e-fit has been created by police in a bid to catch a suspect after a teenage girl was accosted in Colchester.
The man approached the 16-year-old girl by driving a van alongside her and shouting to her before getting out of the van.
He tried to engage her in conversation and grab her shoulder, but she ran away.
It happened on Wednesday January 28, between 3pm and 3.30pm.
The man first approached the girl in Holden Road, before trying to stop her on a pathway between Asda and Peto Avenue.
He is described as black, in his late 20s, with a large gap between his front teeth. He was wearing a navy blue beanie hat, navy blue jacket and navy blue trousers.
The van he was driving was green with writing along the side of it.
Anyone who recognises the suspect from the police e-fit should call PC Nick Pulham on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
