Music professor's work recognised with CBE
PROFESSOR Peter Holman has been presented by Prince Charles with the insignia of the MBE at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Prof Holman, from Colchester, is director of the Essex Baroque Orchestra and a lecturer at Leeds University.
The honour was presented yesterday for his work in the early music and on the Suffolk Villages Festival.
He is also chairman of the editorial board of Early Music Performer magazine, and is a board member of Early Music, Musica Britannica and the Purcell Society.
