SOLDIERS suffering from post traumatic stress disorder have been working with horses to help alleviate their symptoms.
Former servicemen and women were at the Colchester Garrison Saddle Club, in Fordham yesterday.
They were watched by researcher Mark Wheeler from the University of Essex who carried out tests on the volunteers before and after the day.
It is hoped the results from this, and other days out, will show the benefits of the activities and lead to funding for programmes.
Find out more about the research and read interviews with the volunteers in Friday’s Gazette.
