A MAN has suffered potentially life threatening injuries after falling from scaffolding in Brightlingsea.

The man, who is believed to be in his thirties, was airlifted to hospital with serious chest injuries this afternoon.
The man fell from a building at Fieldgate Dock.
Paramedics and the Essex Air Ambulance were called to the scene at about 2pm, and police officers were also in attendance.
The air ambulance took the man to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge just before 4pm.
Officers are at the scene and enquiries are continuing.
Police have informed the Health and Safety Executive.
UPDATE 5.40pm
The Health and Safety Executive had launched an investigation into the accident.
Officers visited the site this afternoon following the incident.
A spokesman said they could not comment on the case.
