Heartless thieves steal pensioner's purse containing photos of late husband
Cruel thieves stole a woman’s purse containing irreplacable pictures of her late husband.
The purse, which was inside a shopping trolley, was stolen last Friday between 10.20am and 10.50am while the 94-year-old woman was in Tesco, in the Grove shopping centre in Witham.
The purse contained also contained £30 cash.
Sergeant Tom Bastendorff, of Braintree Police, said: “The victim is very distressed about this incident and would like the items in her purse returned.
“These are specific pictures of her late husband that cannot be replaced.”
