A HAIRDRESSER is hoping to prove she can cut it in the business world after auditioning for the Apprentice.

Dao Muendorn was invited to take part in the try-out stage of the hit BBC reality show where candidates compete to become business partners with Lord Alan Sugar.

After training at Toni and Guy in Colchester, Miss Muendorn has now been running her own business – Dao’s Mobile Hairdresser – since 2010 and thinks she could be a hit on the show.

She said: “The audition was amazing and to be chosen from so many people to get down to the audition stage is an amazing achievement.

“I have managed to build up 800 regular clients, which is why I decided to go for the audition and see how far I could get.

“One of the tests was being given 30 seconds to explain why they should hire me, which was nervewracking.”

Dao, of Clarendon Way, Colchester, would love to get a call back to continue on with the next stage of the process.

She said: “I am a little pessimistic because I was so excited.

“Even if this is as far as I get then it has been amazing.”
